You can’t escape the forthcoming nuptials between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the news at the moment, with much speculation over how the celebrations will unfold.
According to Cosmopolitan, the happy couple could well be spending some of their day in a marquee in the grounds of Windsor Castle though, with the magazine suggesting that a luxury glass marquee – like that used by Pippa Middleton at her wedding – could be set up at the castle.
In addition to the marquee for the guests, the prince and future princess are expected to need adjoining marquees for staff, catering and security.
The publication cited estimates from wedding planning site Bridebook, which predicted that the total cost of the nuptials will run to seven figures.
Among the biggest expenses at the royal wedding will be the catering, which the website estimates will come in at £286,000, as well as £193,000 that’s expected to be spent on drinks.
There’s much speculation over who’s designing Meghan’s dress, but this alone is predicted to cost in the region of £300,000, with music for the big day coming in at a similar amount.
For the vast majority of couples, spending on weddings is much more modest. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a stunning venue that perfectly suits you and your partner. Hiring a wedding marquee in Cardiff doesn’t have to break the bank and can give you a blank canvas to decorate as you choose.
Last month, Etsy unveiled its top 2018 wedding trends highlighting clear acrylic decorations, quirky takes on guest books, and desert-inspired decor as some of the most popular options for nuptials being held this year.
